Lamine Yamal, a Spain star, has surpassed his La Roja record with a powerful assist in their quarter-final match against Germany.
At 16 years old, Barcelona’s Yamal has set a European Championship record by assisting the most times, equating to Cesc Fabregas, David Silva, and Dani Olmo.
With nearly 50 games for Barcelona and Spain in his first full professional season, Yamal, 16, is experiencing what may be the best season of a teenager in the twenty-first century. Luis de la Fuente found it hard to overlook him after his performances with the Blaugrana, making him the youngest player to compete in the Euros.
With his assist tonight, Yamal broke the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal in 2004 and became the youngster with the most assists in the European Championship.
